Summary
















"Inside Llewyn Davis" is a 2013 black comedy drama film written, directed, produced and edited by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen. Set in 1961, the film follows one week in the life of Llewyn Davis, a folk singer struggling for musical success. 

The film's protagonist, Llewyn Davis, is a fictional character, but the story of the film was partially inspired by the autobiography of folk singer Dave Van Ronk

The film premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and won the Grand Prix. It was also nominated for two Academy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards. The film, which received good reviews since its release, was ranked 11th best film released since 2000 in a 2016 BBC Culture poll and a 2017 The New York Times list

1. Llewyn's deceased music partner, Mike's singing voice is Marcus Mumford, a member of the band Mumford & Sons and husband of actress Carey Mulligan.

2. Bud Grossman, played by F. Murray Abraham, was based on Albert Grossman, who ran the Gate of Horn club in Chicago and managed Bob Dylan, Peter Paul & Mary, and Janis Joplin.

3. The folk singer Dave Van Ronk, who inspired some of the film's character and story, released the album "Inside Dave Van Ronk" in 1963. The cover of the album was a photo of Van Ronk and a cat standing in a doorway.
