Summary

Released by Universal Pictures on October 29, 2004, the film received positive reviews from critics, especially for Jamie Foxx's performance. The film has been nominated for many awards, and Fox has won many awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actor.
Ray Charles was set to attend the film's opening ceremony, but died of liver disease in June 2004, months prior to the premiere.
