Wadiz “Moo-ji-eom” Special Exhibition: “Modigliani: The Painter Who Captured the Soul" Official Launch Announcement

Hello everyone!

 

I'm thrilled to share that my project has been selected for the “Moo-ji-eom” Special Exhibition, hosted by Wadiz, Korea’s largest crowdfunding platform. After final approval, the project is now officially open to the public.

 

The title of my project is “Modigliani: The Painter Who Captured the Soul - E-book & Audiobook + Tribute Music Album.”

 

Modigliani is an unforgettable figure.

His elongated necks, almond-shaped eyes, and—most importantly—his soulful portraits transcend the canvas and become records of the spirit. From the moment I discovered him, I was deeply moved and captivated.

I believe the story of an artist becomes most truthful when told through the artist's perspective. To me, Modigliani was not just a painter, but a man who embraced both the pain and passion of art. Through writing and music, I’ve sought to express those feelings. And now, I'm starting this project to share that story with you.

 

This is a cross-genre arts project that brings together book and music. I’ve translated my original 4-part English novel on “Modigliani”, one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, exploring his life, philosophy, and artistic world, into Korean, now presented for the first time as eBooks and Audiobooks. Alongside the books, I’ve added a 10-track original tribute music album dedicated to Modigliani and his final lover Jeanne, currently streaming over 20 global platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

 

The eBook is based on the English version available on Amazon and other major worldwide bookstores. The audiobook is emotionally crafted in Korean with the help of AI voice technology. The tribute album features my own compositions.

 

Through this project, I hope to share Modigliani’s world with you around the globe—and walk with you through the depth and beauty of his art.

Modigliani Novel “Modigliani: Another Portrait” Now Available at Bookstores Worldwide

Three months after its initial release, my novel “Modigliani: Another Portrait”—the first in a series—has now expanded its distribution globally. This novel explores an alternate scenario of Amedeo Modigliani’s life, imagining how things might have unfolded if certain real-life events had never occurred. Following the “Modigliani” lecture last week, I gave a second lecture yesterday to the citizens of Yangju as part of the program “Between Paintings and Scenes: Bridging with Humanities,” hosted by Yangju City.
