From Music, Art and Film to Visual Worlds — Introducing My Digital Art Collections

For many years, I have worked across different creative fields — writing books, composing music, teaching, developing lectures, and exploring the relationship between art and storytelling.

Along the way, I created a large number of images for my music projects, books, lectures, and creative work.

I have now curated these works into four collections.

Female Vocal Jazz Collection

A visual exploration of midnight, female vocal jazz, love, memory, longing, separation and the quiet arrival of dawn.

Melodies on Canvas Collection

This collection begins with the emotional experience of encountering masterpieces and transforms that experience into music.

Music After The Film Collection

These works explore the emotions, memories, spaces and moments that stay with us after the screen goes dark.

Listening To Masterpieces: Amedeo Modigliani Collection

Created during the development of an art lecture exploring Modigliani, his work, his era, his life and his relationship with Jeanne Hébuterne.

They are now available as Digital Artworks and Art Prints.

Look. Listen. Feel.

What Does Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” Sound Like? | “Golden Embrace”

"Every masterpiece has a melody. Welcome to Melodies on Canvas."

Have you ever looked at a painting and imagined what it might sound like?

For me, some paintings seem to contain a melody of their own.

Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” is one of those paintings.

The luminous gold, the embrace of two lovers, the flowers, the intricate patterns and the dreamlike atmosphere all seem to exist outside ordinary time.

I wanted to translate that feeling into music.

The result is “Golden Embrace.”

It is the 15th musical journey in my ongoing project:

Melodies on Canvas – A Journey Through Art & Sound

“Midnight Diner Lights” | A Musical Journey Inspired by Edward Hopper's Atmosphere

“When Visual Art Becomes Sound”

Every masterpiece carries an emotion beyond its colors and shapes.

A painting can create silence.

A painting can create memories.

A painting can create a melody.

This idea became the inspiration behind my artistic project:

“Melodies on Canvas – A Journey Through Art & Sound” Episode 10

My latest instrumental composition, “Midnight Diner Lights,” explores the feeling of a quiet city after midnight.

Inspired by the emotional atmosphere found in Edward Hopper's “Nighthawks,” this piece focuses on:

  • solitude
  • warm lights in the darkness
  • quiet reflection
  • invisible human connections

Rather than recreating a specific artwork, this composition transforms the emotional impression of visual art into a musical experience.

“Fractured Beauty” | Music Inspired by Picasso's “Les Demoiselles d'Avignon”

Can a painting become music?

This original instrumental composition was inspired by Pablo Picasso's groundbreaking masterpiece, “Les Demoiselles d'Avignon.”

Painted in 1907, the work challenged traditional artistic conventions and became one of the most influential paintings in the history of modern art. Its fragmented forms and radical perspectives laid the foundation for Cubism and forever changed the visual language of art.

With this composition, I sought to translate the painting's bold energy, tension, mystery, and revolutionary spirit into sound.

Part of the series:

“Melodies on Canvas – A Journey Through Art & Sound”

A project by J Music exploring timeless masterpieces through original instrumental music.

Listen with your eyes.
See with your ears.

If you enjoy the journey, please like, subscribe, and share.

“Echoes of the Last Supper,” Original Instrumental Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's Masterpiece

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's iconic masterpiece, “The Last Supper,” this original instrumental composition explores the emotions, symbolism, and timeless story captured within the painting.

Through piano, cello, and cinematic strings, the music reflects themes of faith, betrayal, sacrifice, destiny, and hope.

This release is the fourth chapter in my ongoing series, "Melodies on Canvas – A Journey Through Art & Sound," where great works of art are reimagined through original music.

I invite you to experience this artistic dialogue between painting and sound, and share your thoughts in the comments.

The Last Supper

Created between 1495 and 1498 by Leonardo da Vinci, The Last Supper captures the dramatic moment when Jesus tells his disciples that one of them will betray him.

The painting is celebrated for its emotional depth, masterful composition, and powerful portrayal of human reactions, making it one of the most iconic artworks in history.
